Prov’l Gov’t assures firm ties with PNP for peace and order

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – “The provincial government of Pangasinan is in partnership and is always united with the uniform service here in the province in the pursuit of peace and order in our localities.”

This was the affirmation of Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. in his speech during the 1st Pangasinan Advisory Councils Summit organized by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Region 1 held at the Sison Autorium on June 7.

Commending the administration of former governor and now 5th district representative Congressman Amado T. Espino, Jr. for initiating vigorous programs toward good governance, he assured that under the stint of the young governor Amado I. Espino, III peace and order in the province remains as the topmost priorities.

“We guarantee that the province of Pangasinan welcomes you all and will always be a part of the total peace and order of this great province and of this country.,” Vice Governor Calimlim added as he sought for concerted efforts for the realization of this vision.

On the other hand, speaking on behalf of PNP Chief Police Director General Oscar D. Albayalde who served as guest of honor and speaker was Police Deputy Director General Ramon C. Apolinario.

In hope of transforming PNP into a better organization, Gen. Apolinario disclosed, in his speech, the innovations undertaken by the PNP for better outcomes.

As such, he exhorted the advisory councils of each municipality to participate in the nationwide drive of the PNP towards good governance and proper law enforcement.

Ako ay nagagalak sa natatanging pagkakataon upang ating paigtingin ang ugnayan sa pagitan ng kapulisan at ng mamamayan,” he said noting that intensifying peace and orders thrusts, upholding human rights and effective law enforcement contribute to the overall success of the PNP organization.

Underscoring the theme of the program, Gen. Apolinario said that this summit doesn’t only serve as an avenue of consolidating best practices for the conduct of duty but also an opportune time to celebrate synergy.

This summit is a manifesto of support to the PNP PATROL Plan 2030 enjoining men in uniform to be “lighthouse keepers” as they journey towards a transformed PNP.
